Do you learners like to read? Would you let her/him read in Chinese? In this class. Students will work on building reading skills to improve their reading levels in Chinese. This reading session follows a guided reading model. Students will work on sight words, focus on essential phonics skills, practice using these skills to read an unfamiliar text and work on fluency with familiar texts. Class is very structured and follows a specific pattern for each class. Students will experience reading growth as well as gain confidence in their reading abilities. We will read My First Chinese Words books by Better Chinese. Children will enjoy reading activities including drama, storytelling, music and movement, art and craft, and writing practice, all of which motivate competency in a fun and enjoyable way.
